Christmas is celebrated as the day of the Birth of Christ into this world, yet it also symbolizes a very deeply significant truth of the spiritual life. Jesus Christ is the very personification of Divinity. He was born at a time when ignorance, superstition, greed, hatred and hypocrisy prevailed upon the land. Purity was forgotten and morality was neglected.  In the midst of these conditions, Christ was born and he worked a transformation in the lives of people. He gave a new and a spiritual turn to the lives of man. There came a change upon the land. People started upon a new way of life. Thus a new era dawned for the world.

Children are Gods Gift!   Childhood is all about innocence and liveliness. However, the Universal Children's Day is celebrated on 20th November; the Children's Day in India is observed on 14th November. This date is the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru- who was the first Prime Minister of India. It was Pandit Nehru's dream that all children of the nation must be educated . In memory of this great leader and to honor his love for children, November 14 is celebrated in India as Children's Day. It is also called as Bal-Din. Pandit Nehru believed that children must be provided with love and care as the future of the nation lies in their hands. Children truly deserve a day that is dedicated to them.
Diwali is called the Festival of Lights and is celebrated to honor Rama-Chandra the 7th avatar. It is believed that on this day Rama returned to his people after 14 years of exile during which he fought and won a battle against the demons and the demon king Ravana.

DUSSEHRA / VIJAYADASHMI The Dussehra is an important Hindu festival. The significance of the Dussehra festival lies in its religious values.  According to the great Hindu epic Ramayana, Lord Ram killed Ravana on the tenth day of Navaratri that is Dussehra. It is called as triumph of virtue over sin or immorality . The nine days of Navaratri are classified as per the three basic qualities of tamas, rajas and sattva. The first three days are tamas, where the goddess is fierce, loke Durga and Kali. The next three days are Lakshmi related- gentle but materially oriented goddness. The last three days are dedicated to Saraswati, which is sattva. It is related to knowledge and enlignment.  After Navaratri, the tenth day and the final day is Vijayadashmi- that means you have conquered all of these qualities. You did not give into any of them, you saw through every one of them. You participated in every one of them, but did not invest in any one of them. You won
